Woman drags 'dead' partner out as postie arrives with parcel – but something isn't right

Full-time content creator Veronika Mirgova, 32, took on the prank after seeing someone else do it on TikTok. The delivery driver backed away and said he didn't want to get involved

A woman pranked a delivery driver into thinking she had just murdered her partner – by wrapping him in sheets and dragging him down the hall to accept a parcel. Veronika Mirgova, 32, spotted a TikTok video of someone playing a joke on their delivery driver – and thought she could do her own version.

She convinced partner Alexandru Ion, 32, a content creator, to be wrapped up in ketchup-covered bed sheets secured with masking tape. Mum-of-two Veronika, from Coventry, West Midlands, then answered the door while dragging wrapped-up Alexandru along the hallway in the video that clocked up over eight million views on TikTok.

She announced, "I killed him" then asked the horrified delivery driver for help to "throw him in the bushes". The delivery driver backed away in fear – saying "I don't want to get involved" – before Veronika revealed it was a prank.

The full-time content creator said: "I asked my partner to do the prank, and he said no originally. He said it might give someone a heart attack!

"But I told him we'll tell them the truth the second the delivery driver started to panic. When we did it, the delivery driver was just stood there with the food in his hands.

"We did tell him as soon as he panicked and he was laughing after that – he said we 'really got him'.

"I thought he might be angry but he said it was a good prank and I tipped him afterwards because I felt sorry. He's been to deliver things to our house twice since then – and I've tipped him both times since too."

Alexandru added: "At the start I didn't want to do it and put someone into a panic. Veronica does more daring stuff and normally I'm more chilled.

"But in the end I had to go with it! The week after it happened, we ordered something from McDonald's and the same guy came.

"He thanked us because everyone knew who he is now!" Since sharing the video, filmed in August 2024, it has been watched some eight million times.

One user commented: "This is the best thing I've seen on TikTok." Another added: "He was like 'I better get out of here before I’m next'."

A third said: "You should have said [the body] 'was the last delivery driver who delivered the food which was cold'."

People are f***ing idiots. We need some new laws around pranking as this kind of thing goes beyond what people should be allowed to do to make content.

Yeah perhaps the delivery person could have phoned the police to report it, the "full time content creator" would have got a shock when they turned up and presumably wouldn't have been too impressed at the waste of police time.

Wasn't there a story about someone checking their bags in at an airport joking it's a bomb, that didn't end well iirc

FAFO they call it - and there is a US prankster in South Korea that is facing 5 years in jail because of the "pranks" he pulled.

I won't link it here, but if interested, search for Johnny Somali (who is not Somali) real name Ismael Khalid.
