I have been accepted to join Royal Mail, subject to security checks.

Could you please tell me what these checks involve and how long they take to get the results back?

Thankyou :hmmmm

Welcome,moved to Blue Shirts.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I just had the same thing on Wednesday.

They said it would take 24-48 hours, they didn't phone me on Thursday so I phoned them to get an update today, and they said the criminal record check would take 2 weeks but I was all set to start a week on Monday. They took my bank details and said they'd send me a introduction pack to prepare me for the induction day.
