DPD driver caught on Ring doorbell pulling off VERY 'audacious' delivery technique

A couple in South London caught their DPD driver red-handed carrying out a very 'audacious' delivery.

James was stunned when he checked his Ring Doorbell app to see the man's extraordinary technique.

The driver can be seen walking up to a closed gate, waiting a while after ringing the doorbell, and then flinging the soft package over the top.

However, in order to capture the delivery in action, he quickly snaps a picture of the parcel in mid-air before it crashes onto the ground.

James told MailOnline: 'I was at work and got a notification saying someone was at the door, and I went to go and check what it was.

'The first notification was the person trying to deliver it and then there was a snapshot of him coming back a second time.

'I saw him walk up, throw the parcel. At first, I was really annoyed about it. The sheer audacity of it caught me off guard.'

He added: 'It's just such a silly thing to do!', the recruitment worker said.

'He rung the ring doorbell the first time.

'He was aware there was a camera and would get caught and recorded.

'It was pretty brave.

'I was initially annoyed, but now find it quite funny.'

The package was an order belonging to his fiancée Cathy, 29, who was looking forward to receiving her new pair of jeans.

James added: 'I'm sure they will be alright but it's been raining all afternoon.

'I'm guessing they will be very wet. It's not ideal.'

This isn't the first time James and his partner, who works in PR, have experienced such a bizarre delivery.

'An Amazon parcel did the same thing with a cooking pot that we ordered once.

'The cooking pot was damaged and we had to take it back to Amazon.'
