This is the second consecutive year Amazon has been recognised by the Top Employers Institute in the UK.
Amazon has been certified as a Top Employer 2025 in the UK by the Top Employers Institute for the second consecutive year. This certification acknowledges our commitment to the development and well-being of our employees across the UK, and also marks the third year Amazon has been recognised as one of the Top Employers in Europe.

The Top Employers Institute is globally recognised for its world-leading certification and data-driven evaluation of human resources practices. Their certification process examines various aspects of HR, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity & Inclusion, and Well-being. For 2025, they've certified over 2,429 organizations across 125 countries and regions.

By combining technological advancements with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on safety and sustainability, we provide some of the most advanced workplaces of their kinds in the world where our employees can thrive, grow, and contribute meaningfully. This holistic, employee-centric approach reinforces our commitment to becoming Earth's Best Employer.

Amazon expands zero-exhaust emission deliveries with the UK’s largest-ever order of electric trucks
For the first time, Amazon has also launched rail deliveries across the UK as well as on-foot deliveries in central London.

Amazon’s UK Country Manager, John Boumphrey, said: “Being recognised as a Top Employer in the UK for the second consecutive year is an honour and acknowledges our ongoing commitment to the development and well-being of our employees. We are continuously striving to be Earth’s best employer, providing a workplace our teams are proud of.”

How we’re shaping our workplace
At the heart of our operations lies a deep commitment to our employees. This is evident in our approach to employee development, safety, and well-being:

1. Career Development: Our Career Choice skills training programme pre-pays funding for nationally-recognised courses of up to £8,000 over four years to support current and future job needs for thousands of employees. We marked its 10th anniversary in Europe in 2024 adding more than 25 new programmes ranging from mechatronics to machine learning, and this initiative resulted in us ranking in the top 50 of the Social Mobility Employer Index 2024. Additionally, we've pledged to provide free AI skills training to two million people globally by 2025, preparing our workforce for the AI-driven future. We are also proud to offer supported employment routes, creating equitable employment opportunities, and in the UK we are a Level 3 Disability Confident ‘Leader’, the highest level.

2. Technological Innovation: Amazon has invested more than €700 million since 2019 in robotics and AI powered technologies that are shaping the future of work across our European fulfilment centre network. These technologies support employees in their roles, providing them with a safer working environment and upskilling opportunities while reducing packaging materials.

3. Job Creation: As we have innovated to enrich the lives of our customers, we have created hundreds of different job roles in our teams across Europe. Whether in our corporate headquarters, research and development centres, fashion studios or fulfilment centres, Amazon offers all kinds of jobs for all kinds of people.

Top Employers Institute is the #1 global authority on HR strategies. With our world-leading Certification and data-led insights, we guide and empower organisations in delivering transformational people practices, driving business outcomes and helping them attract, engage and retain top talent.

I need to shower - This is an Amazon Article on the Amazon website and by an Employers Institute, not a Workers Advocacy Group.

It's basically a backslapping exercise saying aren't we good?

Working at Amazon can be compared to being trapped in a car that’s constantly breaking down but the driver insists on celebrating every time the engine starts without issue. Instead of addressing the underlying problems—like faulty brakes, leaking oil, or worn-out tyres—the driver proudly claims they have the best car, highlighting the manageable moments while ignoring the frustrating reality of the overall experience.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
