Hi folks,
im sitting my Class 1 test at the end of Feb and will be looking to move into thet HGV side of things with RM.
Ive been a postie for nearly 30 years.
How do i go about it, getting a transfer and how do i actually get informed of any HGV vacancies within RM? Nobody in my DO seems to know much about it all.
Wishaw Distribution Centre is where i will be looking to transfer to, or Edinburgh Mail Centre.
Any help of advice is much appreciated,
Thanks

I would pop into the office in which they are based.
See if you can a chat with VOC Manager.
See if there are any runs you could do on your day off as overtime(sticking to tacco guide lines) as a means of getting your face in the door.
Offer your services over Xmas if poss.

You’ve no chance of getting a transfer to emc there’s people already through there with their class 1’s out on collections. Better off trying wishaw mate.

There will be no movement until after the Network revisions and PADs for the 600s are done and I was told they are looking at June for start. Also priority is being given to displaced MC staff. So it will be a while yet
