Re: Pension Payment Dares 1st payment.
You should, hopefully, get your lumpsum on your birthday, and your 1st pension payment, if you have opted for monthly payment, should be paid on the last working day of the month. Everything went to plan for my partner's 60 pension however my 65 pension did not. Hopefully yours will be fine, good luck

My lump sum was paid on my birthday but there was a delay in my first ( part) payment but all sorted by the last day of the next month. Your birthday on the 1st seems to the ideal date.

Thanks all. If I get the lump sum on my birthday that would be nice. I am having a think about whether to take the pension every 3 months, but I can’t really see any benefits of doing so.

No point in that, especially if you've retired. Unless they want to enhance the payment? If not, why bother?

Re: Pension Payment Dares 1st payment.
I got my rmpp lump sum just after my birthday and pension payments started at the end of the month but FIVE MONTHS later i've still not received the lump sum from the 2018 onwards part of the pension nor the supplements payable until i reach state pension age at 66. At this rate i will have gone 66 when i receive the supplements.
