Re: 24 minutes
I already go in 45 mins early for free anyway because I love the company and I’m a mug so no change here. Although I might still go in 45 mins early on top of the extra 24 mins added, I like to get prepped before the less insane people start so I can bitch how s**t and slow they are to management……
Kidding obviously but sadly it’s true for some

Re: 24 minutes
Our DOM had to tell people that coming in early from tomorrow is not the same as coming in early unpaid, people honestly didnt realise that.

Re: 24 minutes
I tend to get to work 15 min before start so I can park and then get a quick cuppa in the rest area . Some folk are getting their Van's as I park up, dont they realise they're not insured outside of work time?toonshola wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 17:35I already go in 45 mins early for free anyway because I love the company and I’m a mug so no change here. True story, one of the ones who come in early asked if he could come in early on docket, Dom said : "nah, you come in and work for free anyway"

If the company goes into administration your not going to get your money they owe you, only 14 minutes on a Monday & Tuesday as it takes us over the 7 hours so get our 10 minute break they took off us in April so we are leaving 10 minutes early tomorrow ,cant see it having much impact i ain't going to do anymore.

Re: 24 minutes
I doubt there's any such rule, the insurance will simply cover any employee on business use and also driving to and from work if they are allowed to keep the van on retention.pieoftheday wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 19:08I tend to get to work 15 min before start so I can park and then get a quick cuppa in the rest area . if the company goes into admin I sense the least of our worries will be losing a few hours pay!!guardianangel wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 19:51If the company goes into administration your not going to get your money they owe you, only 14 minutes on a Monday & Tuesday as it takes us over the 7 hours so get our 10 minute break they took off us in April so we are leaving 10 minutes early tomorrow ,cant see it having much impact i ain't going to do anymore.

Re: 24 minutes
It isn't going to make f**k all difference when you get these revisions and you now have to spend extra time to throw in more mail and parcels for this new walk. Numbskulls have not thought this through at all all for the sake of saving some measle hours paying someone to double prep in the morning. Who am I kidding though, you'll still have the idiots that come in half hour-hour early coming in even more earlier and be the first to bitch and moan when more is getting out on their frames.

If he had any sense, he'd take that as a complete slap in the face and stop being an office bitch and giving the company free workclaretandblue wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 19:21True story, one of the ones who come in early asked if he could come in early on docket, Dom said : "nah, you come in and work for free anyway"![]()
