Royal Mail losses could see rise in stamp prices

The price of stamps could increase to help shore up finances at the Royal Mail, campaigners have warned, after the postal company unveiled a slump in its profits.

Its biggest loss has come from the “universal serviceâ€

Private companies now deliver four billion of the 20 billion items that are posted every year.

They still don't get it do they, private companies deliver naff all, they just collect it we still do the donkey work.

Not the only thing the Torygraph gets wrong.
"First class stamps which are fixed at 34p until 2010 could increase to 36p or more". No, they've been 36p since last month.
