Back where I started.

Post by teesdale »

At Bristol Mail Centre this whole supernumary thing has seemed to take me back 20 years to when bullying and harassment was royal mails only management tool. People changing their days, losing 2 hours per day, and the pay, has emboldened a new gloating management. The we can do anything we want mentality, without accountability, has unleashed the predator again who is doing his unwanted hugging and tickling of the quieter ladies. We are in charge again and the beast is out. When the 20% of salary bonus is paid to managers in August, I thing they are going to be drunk with power and are going to go nuts.

Same in my MC in the south east. We seems to have 20 acting WAM per shift, all useless and nasty, and as you say, drink with power....ours are already!

Funny how the budget for more acting WAMs never seems to get smaller.

I'd love it if all the acting ones (most WAMs are acting in my office) were put back into blue shirts.

It'll solve RM's budget problems a bit more, and will take the acting managers' egos out of the equation too.

Many firms switched from having WAMs over to using "Team Leaders" many years ago
