Why are you so worried about a lump sum when you are leaving, that is reward enough in itself. I would just be grateful you have got out at the time you have. If you’re that desperate for it, stay where you are.

Personally I'd go sick for the time needed and tell them to take it as notice to get the money.
They've been treating us all like crap give them a bit back
