How accurate are your annual pension statements?

Post by Rapido123 »

Hi, just wondered if anyone had recently taken their pension and had the previous years statements been accurate with what they actually received, thanks

It actually says on both the RMPP and RMSPS statements, that they're for information only and they carry no right to benefits and they're not a contract.

In practice they're a good rough guide to how much you're going to get. When you actually apply for your pension/s, the quotes will be more accurate and based on your choices at the time.

One thing to bear in mind is that statements are up to the end of March and we usually get them in September so you should have at least 6 months "more" than shown on the statement.
