ARMED robbers made off with cash from a Lothian post office after threatening staff with a gun.
The two men targeted the Armadale Post Office in Ochilview Square in Armadale, West Lothian, yesterday at 4.40pm.
The raiders, who had their faces covered, burst into the office and brandished the firearm before demanding money.
The men made off with a four-figure sum in cash.
Police were today hunting the suspects and appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Detectives are interested in tracing a two-seater sports car, described as silver with a black soft top roof, which was seen nearby.
The first suspect is described as white, late teens to early 20s, 5ft 5in to 5ft 9in, thin build, with a deep voice and local West Lothian accent. He was wearing a hat with his face partially covered, dark coloured jacket with a hood and a zip at the front, and denim jeans.
The second suspect is described as white, late teens to early 20s, 5ft 11in to 6ft, thin build, also with a local accent. He was wearing a hat with his face covered, dark clothing and jeans.
