A delivery driver ended up climbing over a customer's fence after she 'locked' him in her driveway in an apparent row over the delivery of a mobile phone. The video, which has been shared widely on TikTok, shows the DPD driver dragging a wheelie bin to an electric fence before mounting on top of it to escape the Coventry address.
The resident, who was filming the driver, tells him: "'I'm never going to get my phone... you're not going to let me see the phone no?' She then attempts to take the parcel out of the driver's pocket, to which he responds: " Hey, hey hey. Get the **** away from here."
She accuses the driver of 'stealing her phone' as he scales over the gate and back to his van. The video has gained over 1.6 million views and over 66,000 likes on TikTok.
Some users suggested the customer did not have the correct identification or the wrong name on her passport, which is why she could have been refused delivery. Others suggested the delivery had been rescheduled for the next day so the driver could not hand over the package.

The resident refused to provide him the code for the gate to leave the property, giving him no choice but to find another way to get out. Some TikTok users lashed out at the woman for 'unlawfully' detaining the delivery driver in her property.
One user said: "False imprisonment is punishable under criminal law." Another added: "You've just committed a crime. Not him."
Another TikTok user commented: "There's definitely more to this than she wants us to know."
