Does anyone on here enjoy there work?
I only ask as all i seem to read is a load of moaners and people who want an arguement? I have been a postie for 12 years now and really enjoy the job. Okay i agree Leighton and crozier havn't been the best of leaders. Likewise the CWU.That is life. They are only after one thing in life and that is more ££££. Get rid of them okay, but who would be next in charge? The point i am trying to make is that there are 4000 people on this site and over half wince about petty things.I agree i have learned a lot on here. But please lighten up and enjoy your job. If you don't like the job seek another?

I enjoy it
the way i look at it is there are worse jobs out there! Also a lot of low paid jobs i have been looking and even been offered but the wages are awful, just above the min wage! Unless we have a trade a really well paid job is hard to find unless you get lucky!
I enjoy the afternoons off, fair enough, fall asleep before everyone else , but i would not want to go back to 9-5 hours! I love the outdoors and the exercise we get, and i have my own walk which i really know and enjoy doing.
The only bit i hate is sorting and that is it. I do agree with you that we all should think about the positive and nice things about being a postie, i am just make the most of whatever time i have left with royal mail.

Most are well and truely pisse* off and are actively persuing a job outside of r.m got to admit the job is shite now and isn't going to get better what with later starts and all the crap we are getting from these self important lino's. Some posties who have been with r.m for over 15yrs are looking for jobs.

I actually think this is the best job I have ever had, including being in the forces. The camaraderie is brilliant, the work is rewarding, generally on deliveries people are happy to see you and appreciate the extra effort I sometimes make for them. In every job there are always bad points but they would have to go some way to tip the balance and force me to look elsewhere.
Perhaps being in Royal Mail is like being in the forces in one way, as one senior officer said to me once - "If the lads are moaning then they are happy. If they stop complaining then we are really in the s**t".

i enjoy it, especially when the sun is out, yes we are getting dumped on from a great height but if we all work together we can make it a better place to work.
and as for the pay, i think it is a very well paid job unlike a lot of people on here. i challenge anyone to go and find a job with equivilant pay where they get afternoons off, once they are on delivery are their own bosses and best of all have no trade because i have yet to find one.

tomorrow if I could, but hey, bris me old mate, time for a reality check........THIS IS 21ST CENTURY BRITAIN, jobs are scarce, not as many around as
there was in the good old days when we were an industrial nation, hell man, if you walk into a jobcentre today, it'd frighten the life out of you, and for once
you'd rejoice that you're middle aged, and pity those who leave school this summer.
This Tory shite about, "if you don't like your job, get another one", is like most of the other shite Tories like to believe, it's all meaningless and makes
about as much sense as calling the likes of Lieton and Crazier, entrepreneurs.
