Large numbers of protestors joined a rally and march in Colchester to back postal and rail staff who are on strike.
Colchester Trades Union Council hosted the event yesterday to coincide with the national Enough is Enough day of action.
It also coincided with strikes by CWU workers at Royal Mail and RMT and ASLEF railworkers.
There were various speeches with plenty of supporters holding placards and waves too.

History teacher and campaigner Mark Goacher who attended said: "It was important to make our voices heard and there were a range of trade unions and other groups represented plus residents concerned about rising bills and the cost of living.
"It wasn’t just the ‘usual suspects’ that you see at protests, there were lots of fresh faces there. People are genuinely worried about how the’ll make ends meet and felt that the government’s mini-budget was a slap in the face.

"They were angry at the derailing of the economy and raising of bankers bonuses when bills, rents and mortgages are set to rise. There were some great speakers at the rally after the march including representatives of nurses, postal workers and teachers."
