That should be the way to go with a work to rule in place in between each functions strike day.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 07:04What about Collections > Logistics > MC Processing > MC Distribution > DOsguardianangel wrote: ↑29 Jun 2022, 21:40Lets just hope we just don't have a 1 day strike like in the past which is a complete waste of time, the RMT had it right,it should be 1 day distribution next day posties next day distribution next day posties and so on for at least the first week, hit em hard.

Fooling yourself there. Given that little of any importance comes through the mail now (and not even regular deliveries for what does) and there are many (and cheaper) other parcel deliveries, most wouldn't even notice we were on strike.

Re: Remember the rules
People on the doorstep will hardly notice that we're on strike.
Customers who send parcels via Royal Mail (the ones that RM really like and the part of the business that they want to grow) will notice if we are on strike for more than a day. Their businesses couldn't cope with not despatching their sales and consequently they will look for alternative courier firms. Many of those customers won't come back to RM. RM management will notice that and will have to take action to avoid losing those business customers.
One day strikes on the other hand will have little impact on those customers. They will live with their parcels being delayed by a couple of days. They will have little effect on anyone and RM won't budge an inch in their stance towards us.

...and those items of importance will simply be delivered by another courier if you don't. Unlike the 90's there are plenty of alternative options now.pieoftheday wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 10:24If we didn't deliver anything of importance you and me wouldn't have a job

Re: Remember the rules
I'm not sure there are currently any couriers that have the capacity to deliver letters like we do?
