PART-TIME WORKFORCE
Ive been reading most of the threads ie resigns, later start times, etc etc. The most important subject doesent seem to have been talked of yet. CUTTING F/T HOURS TO P/T. The rm screw in my office has tried to bring about changes to duties on the premise of summer lapsing, so far three f/t duties have been cut to p/t/hrs with the further promise of another 3 to 4 duties going the same way. As there are only 10 town walkes in our office you can see what rm are aiming for A PART TIME WORKFORCE ON PART TIME WAGES. THANKFULLY their are enough of us who are strong & understand whats going on. MAKE NO MISTAKE A NO VOTE IS THE FINAL NAIL IN ALL OUR COFFINS

Every time someone leaves they WILL be replaced with a part timer,but it has to be within the IRF.
It's a worrying thought but a confuseing one.
Seems with the new machines coming in what they're looking for is a few full timers throwing up walks and mums/students and the like taking them out.
Within a few years what kinda place will this be to work in!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

we guessed years ago that there would be only a nucleus of full timers
servicing more part timers even our manager knew then!
you can see the way we are going- sequencing etc it's not good but we must hold out.
out of thirty odd town rounds we only have eight left at full time.
all our 35 rurals are full time.
solidarity brothers, yes is the only way.
if you don't know what to vote then obstain, royal mail can't use it then.
