Half of us in on Sunday this week were
A) on our long weekends, so had a random day off, off Saturday in Sunday and off Monday, and
B) doing our normal rounds, or covering another that hadn't gone out. Letters and non tracked.
They could have saved themselves time, money, and reputation by asking us to come in Saturday.
Edit: we have had a wave of covid, so staff are dropping like flies.

Re: Sunday fun day
I'd rather not work Sundays, but the phrase "5 out of 7" is in new contracts and thus we have to do Sundays when management deem it necessary.
Anyone who's been there under 18 months was told they had to do 2 Sundays between mid November and Christmas, as "packet relief." Then a lack of temps, combined with high rates of covid, meant that those in on Sundays aren't having their walks covered on the days off they get in lieu.

Re: Sunday fun day
Am I reading that right, you were delivering post on a Sunday? I sense most posties on here would tell their DOM's to do one if they asked them to do the same, even if their contracts suggested that they had to work the odd Sunday.Kenfandango wrote: ↑20 Dec 2021, 16:48Half of us in on Sunday this week were

A lot of us had to, otherwise it would still be there tomorrow (and some had been sat there since Thursday)
