Hiding behind covid

Ok people
The public are getting the worse service I've known in 43 years
So the question is this
Some people are getting only 2 deliveries a week,some are only getting 1 delivery a week and some are only getting 1 delivery every 10 days!
HOW MUCH IS IT REALLY DOWN TO COVID, WITH PEOPLE OFF SICK AND OTHERS SUPPOSELY SELF ISOLATING?
OR IS IT DOWN TO VACANCIES IN YOUR OFFICE, WHICH RM ARE REFUSING TO FILL UNTIL A DEAL IS AGREED.
MY OFFICE IN LONDON HAS 10 VACANCIES AND WITH SICK THE WALKS ARE FAILING BIG TIME.
If a member of the public tries to find out why they aren't getting a delivery at least every other day they are fobbed off with "ITS BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE OFF SICK WITH COVID", when the real reason is because RM refuse to cover the vacancies.

We are probably running at about 10-15% short due to vacancies not being filled. No more sick than usual to be honest. The single biggest problem is the badly managed and (correct in my view) continuation of 1 per van. It's incredibly inefficient for an office built on van share and is the main reason for walks not going out for days on end.

We are about 6 short and 1 Isolating. Have been since the beginning of summer. Some even longer. We were gifted 3 agency. The situation is f****d!

I think its still covid problem to get to these low levels of service, dont get me wrong, xmas is always chaotic at the best of times but the lack of van sharing really hurts efficiency and making what usually is a struggle at this time of year far, far worse. Add to that the fact that covid is forcing a lot of people to shop from home and send gifts to loved ones instead of visiting them, we`re seeing a huge increase in traffic, the system just isnt designed for even half this much.

How many normal van sharing pairs could even physically get 2 walks worth of stuff into 1 van anyway???

Be assured they will put there corrupt spin on it at every opportunity,way detached from the facts no doubt,a perfect cover up to blame Covid,and not naturally understaffed,and continued miss management.
