With the volumes of mail, something has to be failed as walks have too much to deliver. Would people rather that packets and Tracked get failed, meaning that not everyone gets their Christmas presents or would you rather that it's letters that get failed meaning they might not get their Christmas cards?????

Its not just Xmas cards people aren't getting though, its hospital appointments as well so I'm asking what would you rather fail, a belly bar for a piercing from China or a hospital appointment for chemotherapy for a cancer patient ?

Letters and flats were always going to fail. Because of covid we can't have all the extra sorting frames that we would normally have and mail can only fail once

There's also a lot of medical stuff that goes through the system so if that were to be failed then people could end up in hospital

Re: Increase in price of first class stamps !!!
You don't get random chemo appointments through the post other than confirmation letters.a hospital appointment for chemotherapy for a cancer patient ?
It's a regular weekly /fortnightly /monthly thing booked through your specialist. If they have to change /cancel them it's a phone call. Trust me I know.
Most hospital appointment letters for anything major are confirmation for already pre-booked appointments.
Most routine appointment letters are for weeks if not months ahead.
It makes a good headline, I missed my hospital appointment because of Royal Mail but the chances of you missing an appointment because the mail was delayed a couple of days is very slim.
You're more likely to miss a phone call if something is cancelled/becomes available at the last minute , solution answering machine.

I have three major health issues and for all my clinic appointments I get an automated phone call at least a couple of days before, asking if I'm going to attend.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑11 Dec 2020, 21:36
