I have a holiday booked in a few weeks. The country i am going to is currently on the UK green list with no quarantine needed either country, so unless anything changes i am currently planning to still go on holiday. If the government changed the rules and added my country to the red list that needed a 14 day quarantine when entering back into England whilst i was out there (like what hppened to france yeaterday), would i get in trouble with RM if i had to quarantine for 2 weeks upon my return?
Obviously i would only go if the country was still on the green list, but there is always a chance that if cases spike whilst i was out there the the government could add it to the red list mid-holiday.

Even RM arent that bad that they would conduct you for going to a country that gets added to the list after u've gone there.mattandbenny wrote:I have a holiday booked in a few weeks. Your two options for the 14 day quarantine (if its been added to the list) are (1) use up two weeks annual leave or (2) unpaid leave.

I took 1 weeks unpaid leave around Lockdown in late March, had an elderly parent to look after and had 4.5 hours reduced from my annual leave allowance

Is there no chance of you getting a refund or moving it? I get it's frustrating, but the Government have made clear they'll be changes with little or no warning given. Flights from France today are going for three times what they were yesterday. Can you afford not to go and potentially lose your money or afford take two weeks unpaid leave? Only you know the answer, but I'd plan for the worst.
