Early Shift Allowance Theft

Post by Wild Cat »

Received my pay slip today (Thursday 14th) and the 0500 Early Shift Allowance has been replaced by a "Mixed Shift Allowance" meaning a loss of 10 quid a week.

Our office has just moved back to 5.00 starts on Saturdays only.

Has this happened to anyone else as this looks like a classic RM stitch up.
No wonder they were so keen to let us go back to 5.00 on Saturday (which I voted against) they just buried the bit about the Early Shift Allowance in the small print hoping no one would notice.

Mine still says early 5.00 shift Allowance so sounds like a typical fubar by RM.

we moved to 6am a year and half ago and got told our ESA was safe for 3 years, mine got took off after only a couple of months and others in the office got theirs taken off them at different times.

now we have been told we are getting it back and it will be back dated. im looking at over a years back dated ESA

I only get a mixed shift allowance of £6.19 a week now, nearly 3 years I have been working early/late shift in Callers with the full ESA as I work for deliveries. I'm having to payback all the overpayment because of the bookroom not doing there job properly. If I go back on to deliveries I doubt I will ever get the full ESA again.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
