Automatic attendance stages

Post by Navalron »

Is this happening nationwide? Decision on stage, no mitigating circumstances, surely above are mitigating? One colleague dismissed who couldn't barely walk with an illness which required medication and doctors verified this.He had a very good attendance but had a few days off a couple of occasions.

Well where is the union in this. Why are YOUS still working and not outside..........if it was you in that position would you not expect your workmates to standbye you. No wonder RM are doing what they want because most offices have been cowed. If you don't hit the streets in the next few months your might as well take the whip from the management every morning.

The union does f**k all about it because really they are happy to help decrease the surplus postie population , the turds like to label it as `natural wastage`.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

There lies the problem with this company, just no compassion.

You go off work for one day and get phone calls day after day after day. Fair enough phone me once and discuss when I'll be available to come back to work but the answer might be tomorrow, or next week. Basically its until your seen fit to come back. Employees are less likely to come back if all they get is grief and hassle.

The whole attendance procedure needs to be changed. Someone in and out of hospital shouldn't be handed a stage 3 and dismissal. The union need to look at this as royal mail are just walking right on top of some people.
