Be very wary of adding your name royal mail keep these names and if it ends in you being in a tribunal for any work related incident they can use this against you
All the best though

Can I just ask what it has to do with the union rep? Do you have to be a member to get evr?

Policy must have changed since we had EVR two years ago. Yes union and Management had a series of meetings to agree numbers and a timescale to leave the Business but at no stage was the Union informed upfront of who wanted to go. An EVR “expert” was sent to the office from HR and only then after you had an initial one to one and given that magical quote £££ were you asked by R Mail if you wished to be considered. Seniority was ruling Factor and those lucky enough to go left very happy. The whole process from Union and Management agreeing numbers to staff leaving took 9 months but it could be shorter now :thumbup

Maybe manager delegated as he was far "too busy" to do it himself ?

This happens in our office every couple of years but nothing ever comes of it.

Same.

I think it's in our best interests to not engage with any such preference exercise, it just allows RM to gauge how many people are willing (or desperate) to leave and they can then reduce any potential offers accordingly if they're confident there will be lots of takers.

VR payments are based on age and length of service and can be worked out by using the ready reckoner on this thread. But ignore the bit about the over 55's getting 26 weeks pay and an enhanced pension, as that no longer applies.

In practice anyone with 28 or more years service will get the maximum of 104 weeks pay, regardless of age. Assuming the current terms aren't reduced of course!
