Is there any regular shorts available?

Fed up of getting stupid tan lines half way down my leg with the standard three quarter lengh shorts. Do RM not offer any normal shorts (i.e. above the knee). If not, is there any reason for this and am i allowed to wear regular shorts that are not RM issue?

No, RM Shorts are what you get, however I agree they are on the rather long ish side so what I and my fellow colleagues do is to turn them up. Give it a go.

Although for us taller people, they look more like hot pants!

Haha totally agree and for us short people even rolled up they are still below the knee!

i took off and resewed on the pockets cos me arms weren't long enough AND as an extra benefit then cut em shorter so they looked in proportion. result. hot pants with cargo pockets masquerading as standard issue keks!

I think they should revise or add a few more items to their clothing line now as it’s getting a bit dated some of there uniform. Maybe if they added the following:

- Gillet with Royal Mail logo on back
- 3/4 shorts for men and ladies
-New style of cap
-Long sleeve red top/T-shirt
- New trendy trainer that complies with the RM colours and standards that is ACTUALLY comfortable to wear!!

I know it would cost extra money to produce but surely this would benefit a lot of people and it’s a good way selection of uniform on offer

Light cotton t shirt for summer lighter material shorts as they are too heavy for this heat .
