Documentation confirming only December is blocked off
Hello hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for documentation showing that December is the only time in the year that managers can block all annual leave. The way forward agreement and the annual leave agreement wording is not 100% clear so is being interpreted wrong by the manager who is now trying to block last couple of weeks in November without agreement. Any help is greatly appreciated

It's probably only a matter of time before the 2nd half of November ends up being blocked off at every office

It’s happened at my office also. It’s prob due to the increase in the build up of the parcel/ packet traffic compared to pre internet times.

think local agreements maybe could add a 5th week, the actual date of black friday could have a bearing too

The working time directive section within the wayforward agreement states the maximum 4 weeks closed xmas period (page 44). So this would have to be considered during discussions on local annual leave agreements.
So this year 2nd December would cover the Xmas period but if you closed from the 25th November then 23rd December must be open for annual leave.

Can only be a rep that agree it, get onto area if this wasn't discussed with the troops.
