The next pay review date will be 1st April 2020
Going by 2018’s pay deal I wreckon they’ll review it, tell us we’re getting no pay rise and the union will have to negotiate a new pay deal and it’ll be backdated. I’d say they’ll wait until after Christmas 2019 to tell us.

Pay rise 2020?
Don’t think we will be getting a pay rise for a while after this 2%in April .Royal Mail will say that the shorter working week over the next few years will make it unaffordable.

No. 59/18
1st February 2018
Pay and Four Pillars Agreement (EDIT)
On Wednesday 31st January 2018 the CWU’s Postal Executive unanimously endorsed the terms of the Agreement reached with Royal Mail Group in pursuit of our Pay and Four Pillars of Security campaign. A copy of the Agreement is attached to this LTB.
On the question of pay, the deal provides for a three year Agreement (with two basic pay rises of 5% in October 2017 and 2% in April 2019), a two hour cut in the working week (worth an additional 5.33%) making the overall deal worth 12.33%. In addition we have also secured a clear flight path to a 35 hour working week by 2022.

Pay rise 2020?
I remember......you are right. the threatened walkouts/strikes were suspended just before the Christmas of 2008, and talks were to recommence after Christmas. we eventually reached ''agreement'' a couple of months later in 2009 when we were awarded nearly 7% over 3 years. they ''conveniently forgot'' to give us a 2008 rise as the talks had went on for so long. Messrs Crozier and Leighton were in charge if I remember correctly. well spotted woody.
