Grievance process

Post by gand »

Hello, just a quick question about the Grievance process, way back in October I raised a stage one Grievance against my the line manager who was covering my normal line managers day off. It took them over 4 weeks to acknowledged this first stage when my normal line manager came to me and said he would be handling it(no letter from them just wanted to do it there and then that morning :arrrghhh), to which I told him that he was the same grade as the manager I had raised it against and that it was meant to be my Dom who i submitted it to who was to handle it within 14 days. So I sent off a stage 2 directly to HR stating how it had been handled and that I did not want any manager from my office to take my grievance as I don't think it would be handled fairly. So today I got a letter from my Dom who I had give the stage 1 to inviting me to my stage 2 meeting! Surely this should have been done by my DOM's manager? What would be the best course of action on this matter as I feel that this DOM is trying to cover my grievance up and keep it in house? :arrrghhh

assume you have a rep. It is down to the sector manager hearing it if you feel that your dom cant and you have a right to ask for that

The grievance procedure is completed through the PSP to fast track the action procedure.

You are correct that it should be entered onto PSP in order to prompt the timescales. However some Doms don't do this straight away and they get away without being prompted by HR
