Mail, d2d's and the May 25th 'General Data Protection Regulation'?

What effect will the new regulations designed to tackle unwanted marketing material have on letter and d2d's? Because I don't have a clue, does it mean RM need customer permission before delivering d2d's and unsolicited junk mail? If so we're all screwed.

No, it only covers addressed mail that includes the name of the person so technically “to the home owner” would be fine still. D2d’s would see an increase also.

Unfortunately Royal Mail messed up by plying for trade from businesses saying use unaddressed mail instead and it got out into the headlines, won't be surprised if they now amend the law and stop that too https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/0 ... apitalise/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That buildings/address points exist on a street isn't a data protection issue. You can walk along the street and see the buildings but you won't necessarily know who lives inside.
