Will I trigger a Stage...?

Hello,

I wonder if someone can help me work out if I will trigger a stage if I go sick again. I triggered a Stage 1 with a 2 month absence earlier in the year. In the 6 months since the stage 1 interview I didn't go sick.

Does this mean I am now back to no stage? And therefore will only trigger a stage 1 again if I have 4 absences or 14 days in the next 12 months.

Or, because my long term absence was say 7 months ago, if I went sick will it trigger the stage 1 again because technically it is more than 14 days in a 12 month period? Hope I've explained that properly..?

Basically, is my 2 month absence still going to affect my sick record despite serving a stage 1 for it?

If you have a further absence and this falls within 12 months from the absence of 2 months which you had earlier in the year is still existing and will be taken into consideration for calculation purposes then yes you will incur a further formal stage prompt.
Completely clear then it would be 4 absences or 13 days. The stage 1 would be triggered on the 14th day.

Untrue surely. Once 6 months has passed from the date of issue you’re clear, they cannot use an absence against you twice.

stage will clear after 6months but all sick absences are counted in a 12 month rolling period.

So basically the answer is yes if you're unfortunate enough to be off sick before 12 months has passed since you returned to work following your 2 months sick then they'll bang you back onto a stage 1.

The answer is no it’s not as they’ve used it against you for the stage 1

What annoys me on here. Guys type advice that is completely untrue and could get fellow colleagues in hot water. This is the correct procedure. When you were issued a prompt 1 warning. for your 2months off work. You count 183 days (6months) from the day you were issued the warning. If you havent had any sick during that period. You say you havent you revert back to nothing . No previous sick you have been conduct coded for, will come back into play. You have 13days or 3 absences to play with.

Sorry but that's wrong. Any sick absence within a 12-month cycle will be counted towards attendance stages even if they have been used before, and even if you have cleared a stage.

In combination, these 2 sections do mean that Royal Mail will count the same absence if your trigger a review two times.

Even in management training they’re told you cannot use the same absence twice. (I know Going to the other side and all that but I was knew and I only lasted 3 days before realising the mistake).
Once clear of a stage if you go sick no more than 3 times in the following 12 months or not more than 14 days you don’t get another stage....

Can you give me an example where you get an absence counted twice
