Sick pay for part timers

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

95% of cases yes. You are normally contracted to work so many hours over so many days, so you will be due pay for your normal attendance on that day.

So if you have completed 1 years service and your work 5 out of 6 days on average you would get 4 hours pay for a sick day.

However, there are rare cases of when people work so many hours over a week with no fixed amount of days, in that situation you may not get sick pay. It is a very rare contract though and not usually given to OPGs
