bank holiday (part timers)

Post by pilch »

so what is the policy exactly ?

good friday , i popped upstairs to ask about it the day before as i had been rostered 5 days with friday off
i was given a sheet to sign by the dom which my name was already on for BH payment

signed it and thought no more about it

again this week im listed 5 days with monday off
my contract is 24 hours, so these 5 days are all 4:48 minutes with ot of different ammounts depending on what day and round im on
tues 3:12
wed 3:27
thurs 3:12
fri nothing as im spare
sat 1:12

i popped up on tues but this time was told sorry youre not entitled to it

so i asked for an alternative day off
i was told ok have tomorrow (weds) off, so i did

gone in today to find they have now altered everything to show me as 4 days at 6 hours, with the ot still listed but now its

tues (probably been doctored to show i did 1:45 ot
wed off
thur 2 hours
fri still nothing but they will now tell me it should be 6 hours
sat nothing

to me altering this to 4 days at 6 hours means i would be entitled to 2 days off anyway
one of which was still on monday bank holiday

am i losing out here and getting stitched up

not getting any answers from our place and the union seems to think its ok

anyone know ?

ps

having only just realised
they didnt pay me for good friday either even though the dom gave me the sheet to sign

Email asking for written response otherwise it will be forgotten!!!
If not paid next week written grievance - tell them if paid week after can be written off but if it ever happens again will be straight to formal written grievance end of.
Let them get away with it once they keep doing it. I followed above advice never had a problem or been underpaid since.
Managers getting bonuses for reducing salaries should be stopped full stop imo.
