self-employed while on a career break

Does anyone know if its possible to do this? I've read the guidelines that say its generally not possible to work for someone else, couldn't see anything about being self-employed though.

Surely it means you cannot work for anyone other than Royalmail? If your self employed then your working for yourself which is someone other than royal mail? Just a thought

Wow talk about having your cake and eating it too. Let me guess, if you were to take the career break, didn't work out and you went back then you would still go back expecting your seniority to be intact over someone who has been there whilst you were on your break!!

Its frozen at the start of the career break and restarts at the end so they would lose some seniority.
