Oxford DO losing CSS

Oxford DO, end of night shift and CSS machines in couple of months. Swindon MC will process Oxon mec.mail. Staff have been told but not the final date.

It was a stupid decision all those years ago to use Swindon as the Mail,centre,so don't expect any improvement any time soon.

Was it because Oxford were too militant,ex Rover workers etc?

Good point, I suspect so,but Reading was a fine ,fine mail centre,but they closed that one as well,but for different reasons, I believe.

Any DO should be prepared to be militant if management are out of order, irrespective of their postcode!
