Lost add on boxes keys

Lost my set of keys today for 3 add on boxes Do they wait 48hrs to see if they turn up before Romec have to change the locks on the boxes no doubt i will get my arse kicked..

if box keys are lost, Romec will seal the boxes as soon as they can after it has been reported.

then they will change the locks as soon as they get new ones.

even if the keys are found I recon they will still change them for security reasons if found by a member of the public.

With any luck they'll turn up posted inside a box.

You're lucky in a way it was only 3 keys, losing a entire bundle would be more serious in my opinion.

Have you thoroughly checked your van as they have a habit of landing in strange places depending on where you place the keys within the van. Favourite place is in the compartment attached to the doors driver and passenger side especially if placed on dashboard and slide when negotiating roundabouts or braking. Have you in fact signed the keys out? Have they been dropped in the yard while travelling from keycase to vehicle and have been handed in and manager is already aware of this but with their wicked sense of humour are keeping you on tender hooks until you discover them missing as a form of punishment.

Good point. Worst place I've lost them (within the van) was that bloody useless compartment on the sliding door,at the side of the van.

I had the mail in a box, with the keys, in the back sat on some mail. The box had fallen over, probably due to my erratic driving, and the keys had shot into that compartment. Trouble was as I opened the door to look for them they slid out of sight against the side of the van. Luckily I managed to spot them, from the rear doors, as I was getting some more mail out.

Been waved down several times by customers stood by the Letterbox, because I'd closed the door and left the bloody keys in it!

We're ALL Human and we ALL make mistakes .... so try not to worry too much about it.
