ERNIE PURKIS – FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

Further to LTB 036/17 we have now been advised of the funeral arrangements for our long serving Retired Member and former NEC Member, Ernie Purkis, who sadly passed away on Thursday 19th January 2017.

Ernie's funeral will be held on Wednesday 8th February 2017. The full details are as follows:-

DATE: Wednesday 8th February 2017
ADDRESS: St James’ Church, Church Street, Harvington, Worcester, WR11 8PB
SERVICE: 2.00pm – 3.00pm
This will be followed by a further short service at Redditch Crematorium (approximately 30 minutes from Harvington). It is hoped that this will commence at 3.50pm.

We have been advised that the venue for the wake in celebration of Ernie's life which will follow the funeral services will be confirmed in due course. It would however be appreciated by the branch, if you could let them know if you would wish to attend. The branch has indicated that if anyone who has difficulty travelling to Harvington or Redditch can let them know so that they can help arrange transport.

Only family flowers are requested. However, we are advised that donations can be made to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary or the St James’ Church, Harvington. These can be forwarded to Merstow Green Funeral Home, 20 Merstow Green, Evesham, WR11 4BD or Telephone 01386 49903.
