Changing duties

Hi all,
Did a quick search but couldnt find a post that covers this query. How often can you change duties and are what are the rules concerning training? Are you tied to a duty for a set time and if the other duty you're interested in wouldnt require training could you switch? Hope someone can point me towards an answer, thanks in advance.

you would have to complete 12 months on your current duty before considering applying for another or if your duty has received a considerable change in a resign or revision. If you are successful in applying for a specialist post where training is required then training would be given.

Or you need to be a big mate of the Duty Officer Loads of people over the years at our place have signed for something and then done something completely different after a few weeks, although they never "officially" changed duties.
