Sick on last week of service

Hi, can anyone tell me how Royal Mail deal with sickness on last week of service? I am leaving at the end of the week but have been off today and possibly the rest of the week :-) due to a horrible flu , will I get paid sick pay or will they just look at it as if I left the company a week earlier?

You are still an employee, so as long as you follow the procedure for keeping contact etc, you will get sick pay in the normal way.

Sick pay is sick pay whether 6 weeks before you leave or one week.

In your case book a day off with your new employer in about 2 weeks time when the DIM invites you in for your stage 1
