Christmas overtime clarification please?!

Hey all, just wandered what happens in your offices regarding being made up to full time for the 4 week xmas build up in terms of paperwork? Last year the dom said it had to go through to HR as full time so I'd get the full xmas bonus but now this year the current dom says no it's booked as regular overtime and that would be sufficient for the xmas bonus....he says it's always been that way...I thought HR would need to know exactly who was increasing their hours on a temporary full time basis to pay the full xmas bonus etc....hmmm any ideas)

I worked up to (and over) full time hours through doing O/T last year and DID NOT get the F/T bonus.

The DOM has to fill in a form or you won't get the full bonus or the difference in Delivery Supplement

Any change to temp fulltime has to be authorised by the DSM, more admin work for Doms ...

Thanks folks...it seems it must be done then coz also I'll be out til 8pn doing packets which is supposed to attract an extra allowance...I'll see the dom get this sorted thanks again everyone

have'nt you heard in order for royalmail to cut out paying out the extra bonus you wont be made full time ovewr christmas but they will ask you to do the hours so they can pocket that bonus change, i think this is happening nation wide.

Got told today by our DOM all requests to go temp fulltime have been rejected because the forecasted workload isn't high enough to justify it ....... yet I'm working 6 days a week in my office.

If there was ever a national ban on overtime, the whole company would be in chaos.

you believe that? christmas and the forecasts are down bah humbug, cost saving measures more like it so they can pocket that change.

HR have told the manager in my office that as long as he moves me up temporarily to fulltime for at least 2 weeks out of the 4 Christmas pressure weeks then I will get the full bonus is this true or is my manager pulling a fast one

to make Part-Time staff up to Full-Time for the Christmas Period Dom as got do let HR know by the end of November unless you not get the xmas bonus
