Attendance Procedure Grievance

Hi Folks,can you submit a grievance if you have been issued with an attendance 1 if you didn't have a welcome back meeting when you returned to work? Stating that the stage should be overturned as the manager had not followed the Attendance Agreement?

You could argue that the procedure was not fully followed correctly on a technical note . Also If you have not received a rationale or reason for the stage being issued by the manager, other than exceeding the standards.
However the reality is that you cannot really appeal a stage 1 or 2 until you get to the last stage at 3.
You could ask for the issue to be reviewed again as part of your grievance.
