Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me with an issue in my office. I'm full time and after 8 and a half years as a leave reserve I finally managed to sign for my own duty(shared van) last October. Now, after less than a year my DOM is saying that all 'paired' walks need to be changed over to one full timer and one part timer in the CDV. As a result, he says, I must give up my full time duty in order for it to become part time and I have no choice but to once again become a full time leave reserve. Surely they cannot just force me to give up a duty I waited so long to get and was the most senior person who wanted it?
Many Thanks for any help.

tell your rep if he isn't willing to help contact your area rep , stick a grievance in , and if the worse happens go on sick with the stress of it.

Yes they can change your duty around if they have logistical reasons and it seems they do. Unless you are being treated differently to others at your office you will need to lump it. If you are being treated differently ask for a full office resign.

They are only saying that three of us out of the entire office must relinquish our signed for duties and return to being full time leave reserves. The three of us being the three full timers with the least seniority.

Sounds legit then. No one is being singled out and they are doing it based on seniority. You work for a business, if they need to make changes due to valid business reasons you lump it or get another job.
