Highly unlikely all of them will but I wouldn't be surprised to see many more put on deliveries.

Should only be boxes that get less than 50 items per collection, I believe.

But I often come across boxes that have significantly more than 50 on Mondays, inform managers, swept under carpet because the last collection was Saturday.

And what happens during "Xmas pressure," when they will be full of cards and our parcel workload will be through the roof?

One other thing, do you think deliveries will ever be required to collect from Post Offices?

Nothing like that in our area although some of the senior lads have told me this is how it was done back in the day, do a delivery and then a collection after. Looks like we are going full circle again.

Collections on Delivery 2 will be comming your way soon.
They will want to fit postbox mail monitering devices (PMMD) in your boxes which will count how many leters are posted and what time they are posted , then they will use these counts to propose your next revision, so that they can move more boxes to the delivery postman
These devices are magnetic with adjustable feet to attach to the inside of your box, battery operated and will count the letters as they pass through a beam.
They will also ask you to fit them as well, whilst you are doing your collections, the safe sytems of work says watch out for sharp, jagged metal inside the box when you fit the devices, so sounds very safe to me??.
This has all been agreed by the guys in their ivory towers, but you will notice very little if any information has been sent out about this.
So any collections not on delivery will slowly go as they repeat this year after year.
Sold down the river again!!
