Moving off nights, no pay protection

Post by Brush47 »

Hi

I am likely to be moved off nights due to reduced numbers being required.
I have been in position for under six months, so will not receive pay protection.
However, some new positions are available that have the same hours per week and fall partially on nights (a 'twilight' shift).

Given I was on nights (albeit not long) , would I be ahead of day shift people when applying for this shift?

Many thanks

Having been removed from your N/S shift you are now classed as surplus and would be repositioned under the MTSF agreement and having the allowances for a period of under 6 months your would have an advantage over others who have not held this allowance for a greater length of time as you but colleagues who have at some point held the allowance for more than you since NDA was withdrawn and wish to apply would succeed over you in applying for the new positions.

based on your posting if you are not in pay protection the duty/duties would be signed for on seniority
It is the responsibility of those in pay protection to apply for vacant posts attracting more than they do now up to the level of pay that is protected.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP
