Hey,
Anyone else noticing road traffic accidents being aggressively pushed by management as conduct code cases in the past few months? It seems to be happening in the northeast.
-Im sure that (unless theres a new agreement Im unaware of) its out of procedure.
Any ongoing disagreements on this matter?

Thats the latest LTB on it that I can find but will keep looking later on. Its about mechanistic use of the Conduct Code for RTAs.

Yeah, thanks for the replies. That was what I thought. The national agreement is a bit vauge though as it doesnt specify when conduct is and isnt appropriate.
Weve got a lad who reversed and accidentally scraped a bollard he hadnt spotted- some damage to the van only. Just had an RTU, awaiting outcome.
Another a while ago: had the van roll away after using the hand brake and putting it in gear. The workshop confirmed later that the hand brake was 70% deficient (as were many of the bippers until they recalled them to fix the manufactured problem). As you may know the reverse gear on the bippers often slips as it evidently did in this case. He got 'blameworthy' and received conduct penalty.

Yeah, what about the fact that Ive been reporting faults in the drivers log book and told the lino about stuff like a faulty windscreen washer (still not fixed) or when I have had one of the rear brake lights blow (it took them weeks before they had it serviced)
So I suppose if someone run up the back of me then would it actually be my fault or Royal Mails??

Your fault. You shouldn't be driving it with a broken brake light.
