Transfer or cut your hours

Our office is having a revision. A few of us have been told (ft only) that we will be transferred to another office, or stay and cut our hours then flex up. This is gonna happen quite soon apparently. Can they really do this? What can we do to stop this. They also said no buy downs or VR

ask them to put it in writing that it's either a forced transfer or forced reduction in hours, it's a bluff the can't do it without following certain procedures, one of which would be notifying you and cwu hq of a 90 day consultation period as it's technically a redundancy situation, also that same procedure also says that VR must be offered to volunteers first

also get someone to email moya at justsayit@royalmail.com to ask about the same thing, might want to do that anonymously to stop a target being put on your back, that should stop it

and lastly get the rep to put a stage 1 disagreement in over the plans

They still need to put in a disagreement if that's what the office wants regardless of their personal feelings on the matter, they do what you want not the other way round

How far away is the new office? Is it farther away? At the very least, you should be offered travel money, paid by the week or a lump sum.

after my recent dealings with the cwu i often wonder if they're against me more than the management
