If its all year round make sure your rep is insisting on using summer staffing to your advantage and getting extra leave slots opened up, also make sure he insists on vacancies being filled after 6 months or if over 5%,

they've still got to pay the same amount of staff regardless if they lapse or not. if they have 100 staff and lapse 5 duties they still pay 100 staff

well not if people do their duty in the allocated duty time instead of running round like blue arsed flies. if there is no scope for lapsing they cant get it done for nowt. my duty was timed at 4.45 and that's what it takes on a normal day. Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays are days that is quite impossible to lapse. Tuesdays maybe, if I have no door to doors.
