Up hours, Down Hours

Our office is full of dedicated posties..We all want to get the job done. But the management is crap, seriously crap. The management is a desperate, lying, conniving, scheming dinosaur from top to bottom.

Upshot is things are so crap we had a team brief..."things are bad but they're gonna get better." New duty in rather than out. Recruiting more staff and upping the hours of existing PT staff. Oh joy.

No new duty, no new staff.....but some PTmes were given more perminant hours....... or so they thought.
All done on seniority, most of them took the offer of course, a couple didn't, so another few got an early christmas.

Four weeks on a backlog cleared, more fulltimers on the IPS and things are looking a little rosier for Management..But. The lucky few got their contract today, rather than the perminant upgraded hours they agreed to, they have a new tempory contract increase of hours to sign.

We were told all recruitment is on hold. Plenty of vacancies. Loads of cut offs daily. They want to increase lapsing.
