My condition

Post by darren d »

Hi. I was recently off work with high blood pressure and breathing problems. Anyway to cut a long story short I eventually had stents put in and was told I have to take certain medication for life as I have coronary heart disease. When I went back to work I was put on a stage one. I have since found out that I should not of been issued this as my condition is covered by the equality act 2010. So really I am just wanting some advice on the matter. Thank you in advance fore any information

I don't think any condition stops you being issued stage warnings. We have people in my office that have medical conditions, what I know in one case is one particular person is given a little bit more rope then the rest of us. He / they are still issued stage warnings. Where it probably would help you and be taken into account is if you were to reach a stage 3. Stage ones seem to be dished out willy nilly, despite each and every case supposedly being dealt with on its merits, we know this isn't the case. I wouldn't worry too much and I am sure somebody who knows better will put your mind at rest.

You could of had cancer been struck by lightning or been run over by a royal mail manager and been savaged by a dog and still get a stage 1 :mad
