It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

d2d's in the agreement
just read the agreement cant find anything about d2d's as in the rumoured 5 a week but only being paid for 3 or one a day does anyone know

The deal is virtually the same as b4 we went out on strike!!!
All the strings r still there although d2d and pensions will be addressed at a later date.
The only difference i can see is that the flexible start time is now reduced to 30mins either way and not 2 hours.
All i can see is that royal Mail have not compromised at all which is seems perfectly acceptable by the union... why???
Can a union official out there please open my eyes to other issues the strikes have achieved and please explain why they recoommend this deal and not the original pay deal that was on offer before the striking started???????????

Now that the CWU has caused its membership to lose a huge amount in pay lost during the strikes, will they be paying compensation to make up for what has been an enormous waste of time, money and business?
Not only will people be made redundant through the loss of jobs to modernisation but I'm sure the loss of business during the strikes will cause further losses.
The CWU should be ashamed of the appaulling way its treated its people for absolutely no improvements in return.
Maybe it's time people voted with their feet and dumped the CWU once and for all.

We've been sold down the river!!
We've strike for nothing! Our pensions are a mess down to poor management in the past! Now the frontline have to pay the price! So, we get a pay rise but then again I'm gonna have to be working til I die! Even if I do retire I'm sure it's only goin' to be a short one, we'll be too knackered to enjoy it!
