Just checking. Is redundancy pay 'after' the first 30k classed as 'contractual' earnings as if it is, (according to Citizens Advice), I can put some of this into a SIPP, and because I was taxed on the full amount of my redundancy at 40% I can get tax relief of 40% on the amount I put into a the SIPP, some of the amount did bring me over the 40% tax threshold (of course I will be putting in for a tax rebate as the whole amount was taxed at 40%).
